Samite Speaks - New York, NY

  • Shetler Studios 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor, Bridge Theatre New York, NY USA (map)

Samite to perform his *new* one man show based on his humanitarian work around the globe.  Samite has remarkable stories based upon his work with refugees and survivors.   A refugee himself, Samite has worked with groups as diverse as Child Soldiers in Rwanda to Cancer Survivors in the American Midwest.  He has discovered a universal healing power in music.  His tales are inherently dramatic, but they are filled with humor and insight inspired by his grandfather’s wisdom in Uganda.  Interspersed with his stories are powerful vocals accompanied by African instruments.  He’s a gifted storyteller – and you will never forget the twinkle in his eye and the warmth of his spirit.

He needs you to be part of a test audience for this show.  The performances (free – with a talkback following) will be at Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street (between Broadway and 8th) on the 12th floor in the Bridge Theatre.  On Saturday, January 16th the show will be at 8pm.  On Sunday, January 17th the show will be at 7:30 pm.  PLEASE INVITE FRIENDS WHOM YOU THINK WILL BE INTERESTED!!!  It’s a magical performance.
